About Us
Our mini kennel in PA originally played host to three humans and three Pyrs. Donna, John and Phil are the human inmates watched over by Misty, Danny and Heidi.
Misty (Irie Blue Baby) is a five year old fixed female born on St. Patricks Day in Ireland and br
ought to the US of A. She is the Grand dame of the house and keeps everyone in order. To know her is to be woofed by her!!!! She is also known as OLDUN or the MOOOOCH because she is always on the scrounge for a treat. She is queen of the roost and doesn’t take much lip from the younger ones. She bosses John around, because frequently, she has more sense than him. She loves the water and boat trips but hates fishermen who wander into her domain unannounced. A heart of gold and the face of an angel but leave your candy unattended at your peril.
Danny Boy (CH. Rivergroves Kiss me I’m Irish) is our rock star male who having won the Futurity competition at the US GPCA nationals decided that the best celebration wou
ld be to “trash the room”. He is a one patient therapy dog who single pawedly nursed Donna back to health following the loss of her Dad in a car accident. Affectionately referred to as BIGGUN or BOING due to his tendency to spring off the walls of his run. Heidi (CH. Rivergroves Kiss Me Kate) is daddy’s little dance partner. Her human grand parents (mammy & daddy Meagher) think she has more personality in her left dew claw th
an any other dog in history. LITTLEUN finished with little effort despite not liking the show ring and has been BOS in multiple regional specialties. Her main hobby is savaging her toy duck.
Donna Mercado (Biddy or Biddy wife) is our mom, treat dispenser, attention giver, OCD Groomer and reluctant handler.
John is our Junior handler who majors in feeding, walking, book reading and crate carrying and minors in muttering, shoulder shrugging and stropping.
Phil is the poop picker upper.
We have now expanded our kennel to include Pyrviews ???? CARA. In order to develop our breeding program we have taken the time to carefully evaluate the temperament and structure of PYRS from all over the world. We have found what we like in Cindy Micco’s breeding program and our honored to be allowed to benefit from her experience and years of dedication to the breed.
